His own father had died on a similar airship, and he imagines himself as light as the airship, lighter than air. The main character is Matt Cruse, a cabin boy on the wealthy Aurora. For starters, I cannot tell you a single moment where I was bored, the book was full of action from start to finish. The book is an absolute masterpiece, and I highly recommend reading it. For example, with the way Kenneth Oppel describes Aurora, the airship, you can see the airship in your mind, flying in the sky. It is full of action and, with the way the author describes the scenes, you can see it in your head. Airborn by Kenneth Oppel is a wonderful book full of description and imagery.
